While establishing PRODEMO, we aimed to use our thermoplastic process experience, which is our greatest strength, effectively in product development processes. In this direction, we adopted the “Design for Manufacturing” approach and centered this perspective on all our design processes. We owe it to this that we have accomplished important projects in a short time.
However, the process was not only limited to developing solutions in line with customer needs; it also gave us new perspectives. When we met Design for X, we realized that we were stepping into a new understanding of engineering and we were excited about this discovery. This concept offers a great opportunity to expand the boundaries of our engineering.

So, What is Design for X?
Design for X (DfX) is a comprehensive and concurrent engineering approach that brings a multi-dimensional perspective to product development processes and drives innovation. It includes various sub-headings to optimize different aspects of design:
Design for Manufacturability (DfM): Design solutions that streamline manufacturing processes, reduce cost and increase efficiency.
Design for Assembly (DfA): Engineering solutions that optimize the assembly process and speed up the production process.
Design for Environmental Sustainability (DfE): Sustainable design approaches that preserve the ecological balance, promote recyclable materials and aim to reduce the carbon footprint.
Design for Cost Optimization (DfC): Strategies that minimize production costs and increase overall efficiency.
Design for Functional Safety (DfS): Engineering principles and standards that enhance safety while preserving the functionality of products.
Design for Ergonomics (DfE): Solutions that aim to create user-friendly and human-centered designs.
Design for Innovative Product Development (DfI): Approaches that aim to develop innovative products that provide competitive advantage with new technologies and creative solutions.
Design for Regulation and Compliance (DfC): Engineering principles that ensure that products are designed in accordance with national and international standards, safety regulations and legal requirements.
While in traditional engineering processes, these phases are often linear, the Design for X approach focuses on generating instant design solutions with simultaneous perspectives. This multi-disciplinary approach offers major advantages for both our customers and us: Efficiency and speed.
This is where a new story begins for us. With the Design for X vision, we will continue to develop our engineering capabilities in line with international standards. You will see this innovative perspective in all PRODEMO designs.
